Chumoukedima, Nagaland, March 8 (HBTV): The National Socialist Council of Nagalim (Isak-Muivah) has demanded immediate relocation of a designated camp of the Manipur militant group United National Liberation Front (Pambei).

The NSCN took note that the Manipur group’s camp has been set up in Naga territory.

A press release issued by the NSCN (IM) received here on Friday asked all those in concern to do away with the “confusions” considering “undesirable consequences.”

‘In keeping with this stand, NSCN is against the set up of UNLF/MPA designated camp in Naga territory in Manipur. What is more ironic is the setting up of UNLF designated camp in Naga territory in Manipur without the consent or knowledge of the Naga public,’ the press release stated.

“Such reckless intrusion is highly condemnable. Therefore, UNLF designated camp in Naga territory must be shifted immediately. Significantly, when the government of India and NSCN signed ceasefire to process the political talks, everything was formally discussed and arrangements done accordingly with regards to setting up of designated camps.”

The NSCN stated that setting up designated camps was handled in a haphazardly without considering the geopolitical sentiment.

“Is the government of India trying to incite communal war between the Meiteis and the Nagas? All these confusions should be done away with lest undesirable consequences arise,” the NSCN (IM) stated.
